Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd. (CBG) has organized a community health outreach at the National Mosque in Kanda, offering free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol to residents of the community and the general public.
The outreach, now the sixth under the Bank’s ongoing health initiative this year, was designed to reach individuals who may not typically find time for routine health checks due to demanding work schedules. By bringing these essential services directly to the community, the initiative created a convenient and accessible opportunity for participants to assess their health and take proactive steps toward improving their wellbeing.
The Managing Director of CBG, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, who attended the event and personally underwent a health screening, highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare.
“Knowing your health status is critical. Initiatives like this ensure that more people have access to the checks they need to make informed decisions about their wellbeing,” she stated.
In addition to the screenings, participants received free medical consultations and where necessary, medications. This comprehensive approach enabled them to better understand their health conditions and seek appropriate follow-up care.
The outreach underscores CBG’s ongoing commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of the communities it serves, while contributing to broader efforts aimed at encouraging preventive healthcare.
