Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG) has made a cash donation to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as Mahama Cares, an initiative dedicated to supporting Ghanaians living with chronic non-communicable diseases such as cancer, heart conditions and diabetes.
Presenting the donation, Managing Director, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey highlighted that the gesture represents the beginning of a stronger partnership between CBG and the Trust Fund. She noted that the Bank remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve access to healthcare and enhance the well-being of Ghanaians.
The Administrator of the Fund, Madam Obuobia Darko-Opoku, expressed her sincere appreciation to the Bank for the generous contribution and commended CBG for supporting initiatives that promote the health and welfare of citizens.
This donation reinforces CBG’s dedication to community development and health, key pillars of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as well as its commitment to partnering with organizations that work to improve access to healthcare and enhance the quality of life across the country.
Dr. Naomi was accompanied by Deputy Managing Director, Madam Sheila Azuntaba, Divisional Head for Corporate and Institutional Banking, Haruna Seidu, Chief of Staff, Francis Anaman, Segment Head for Institutional Banking, Yvonne Miranda Kittoe and other senior representatives of the Bank.
Representing the Ghana Medical Trust Fund were Madam Obuobia Darko-Opoku, Administrator, Norber Kipo, Policy Advisor to the Administrator, Edmund Nana Osei Owusu, Director General Administration, George Baah, Director Finance, Alberta Akweley Bannerman, Deputy Director Human Resource and other officials of the Fund.
