Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG) has launched CBG Sika Agent, an agency banking service designed to make banking easier and more accessible for people throughout Ghana.

The Sika Agent service will allow customers to make deposits, withdrawals, interbank transfers, bill payments, and open accounts through approved agents within their communities.

During the launch at CBG’s Head Office Annex in Accra, Managing Director, Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey, said the initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to improving banking accessibility and supporting financial inclusion nationwide.

“As an indigenous Ghanaian Bank, we remain committed to providing simple, secure, and convenient banking solutions for individuals, businesses, and communities,” she stated.

She added that, “CBG has already onboarded 168 Sika agents nationwide and plans to expand the network to 1,000 by the end of the year, with a long-term target of 8,000 agents by 2028.”

Some of the agents present at the launch expressed confidence in the service, describing the platform as simple and easy to use.
