Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG) has organised a financial literacy session for entrepreneurs and community members of Adaklu as part of its outreach activities in the Volta Region.
The session focused on budgeting, savings, bookkeeping, and basic financial planning to help participants better manage their finances, strengthen their businesses, and improve their long-term financial well-being.
The CBG Inclusive Banking representatives took participants through practical bookkeeping techniques, the importance of disciplined savings, and effective ways of managing both household and business finances.
The District Chief Executive for Adaklu, Hon. Jerry Yao Ameko, encouraged participants, especially the women, to take advantage of the session to improve their financial management skills to better support their households and livelihoods.
He commended CBG for the initiative, noting that the programme would greatly benefit the community, and appealed to Management to consider establishing a branch in the district to improve access to banking services.
In response to the appeal, the Managing Director of CBG, Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey, indicated that the Bank was exploring the possibility of introducing agency banking services in the district to improve financial access for residents.
The financial literacy session forms part of CBG’s outreach programme in Adaklu, which also includes free health screening, medication support, home visits for the aged, and Mother’s Day interventions that covered medical bills for mothers after childbirth.
