Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG) commemorated Mother’s Day with an intervention in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region, supporting over 40 hospitalised women, particularly mothers who were unable to settle their medical bills after childbirth.

Led by Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, the Bank's Managing Director, the Bank’s staff visited selected health facilities across the district to settle outstanding medical bills, enabling women, especially those with newborns, to return home ahead of Mother’s Day.

Speaking during the intervention, Dr. Kwetey noted that no mother should remain at a health facility simply because she cannot afford her medical bills after childbirth, adding that the initiative was aimed at showing support to women and their families during an important moment in their lives.

The District Chief Executive for Adaklu, Hon. Jerry Yao Ameko, commended CBG for the timely intervention and support for healthcare delivery in the district.

The District Director of Health Services for Adaklu, Mr. Awentok-Mahama Asam Timothy, also praised the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that would greatly benefit residents while complementing preventive healthcare efforts in Adaklu.

The Mother’s Day intervention was part of CBG’s health outreach in Adaklu, which also included free health screenings, medication support, home visits for the aged, and financial literacy education for community members.

CBG continues to reinforce its commitment to community wellbeing through initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact across the country.
